Buying Books on the Internet

Before you start thinking about going to the shops to buy yourself a bestselling book, you can take a moment to think about buying the books that you want online. Prices are simply much lower on the Internet for both new and used textbooks. Online sellers have to keep prices lower because competition between Web-based sellers is fierce and buyers can compare prices in seconds. The online market is transparent while bricks and mortar retailing allows no product comparisons for shoppers. The Internet is not restrained by walls so students have a huge choice of textbooks at a wide variety of prices brand new, used copies a few months’ old, used copies a few years old and so on. Buying books online is the fastest method you can start using for both you and your friends. And after buying them the company that you bought it from will deliver it to your house on the given date. You may have a book you need to buy for a book club or class, but if you’re looking for something to read recreationally and don’t know where to start, the internet can help. The internet has precipitated the growth of book exchange clubs that allow you to list your books, send them to other users who request them, earn points for the transaction and get the books you want in exchange. These sites are an inexpensive and fun way to get your hands on a book you’re looking for while passing on your own past reads.

Remember when you shop online you must not give your personal information because you might not know if you are talking with people or someone who just wants to eat of your money. So be careful of these kind of scams, you won’t know it but you will find out when the process is done so be wise to recognize that. The signs will be there if you see that something is not right then leave as soon as possible.

You don’t want to be a victim then pay attention to detail and you won’t come across any trouble and once you have got your books with you, you can begin reading your books.

Feline facts:
There is usually a cub that is dominant in each tiger litter. The dominant cub is number one in play and the cub has a tendency to be more active than the rest of the litter. The dominant cub usually leaves the litter quite early.
Lion cubs only become independent when they are about sixteen months old. The males leave the pride, yet the female cubs stay on.
The existence of both lions and tigers is endangered in the wild. Cats come in two groups; these are domestic cats and the other group includes large cats such as lion, tigers, leopards, Black Panther, the jaguar as well as other species. All cats hunt by stalking their prey in complete silence.
Lions:
The lion, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List, is at risk in the wild, which means that unless steps are taken to curb this trend, the lion could become extinct. A pride of lions usually consists of 35 animals. Female lionesses usually do all the hunting, with the pride working in a team as they hunt. The lion pride usually consists of a male and a couple of females. While the job of the lion is to protect the pride the females are usually the hunters. The coat of the lion is the colour of dried grass in order to keep the cats camouflaged so that they can hunt undetected. The jaw of the lion can be opened up 28 cm wide which enables it to kill buck or zebra with ease. The roar of the lion is said to be the loudest of all cats.
Tigers:
Tigers are larger and more agile than lions, but lions are better equipped than tigers physically.
Tigers hunt in the dark and their gold colour and markings are ideal camouflage in the surrounding jungle environment in which they hunt.
The International Union for Conservation of Nature is the authority on the conservation of all animals. The tiger is on the red list as being endangered, and what is saddest of all is that there are only about 3 500 tigers left in the wild.
If you would like to find out more on conservation, and would like to do your bit towards saving animals, and especially feline endangered species, then contact us to find out how you can do this.
On the 31st of October in 2005, a single bolt of lightning killed sixty eight cows on a farm near Dorrigo in Australia, and three cows were paralyzed. Happily all three made a complete recovery.

So then why are there so many cow deaths caused by lightning?
One theory is that they graze in the open and in fields. The other theory is that they have all four hooves on the ground when they ear the grass from where the electricity could be conducted.

On the 15th of June, 2009, sixteen cows were killed on a farm in Pencaitlan, Scotland.

On the 23 rd October, 2008 fifty two cows were killed on a farm outside Montevideo in Uruguay; they were killed when they were grazing alongside a wire fence.

Cat Facts:
Did you know that young lions are not independent until they are at least sixteen months old? Males leave the pride but females lionesses remain in the pride.

In a pride of tigers, there is always a dominant cub that tends to be more active and leaves the mother earlier than normal.

And….
These animal extracts are used for various cures and beauty treatments:
Snail slime cream costs R165.00 a jar. When handlers on a Chilean snail farm noticed that their hands were really quite smooth and they discovered that this was due to the slime that is secreted from the snails. They started harvesting this fluid and now it is used in face creams that are said to reduce wrinkles!
For more on animals and interesting facts you have landed on the right page, so read on for more interesting articles on animals.

Pets have a way of winning you over, making them difficult to resist – we are talking about puppies and kittens. But think this through carefully. Before you decide to take a dog or cat home think of the implications.
Boredom often sets in once the animals grows into an adult dog or cat, or the dog might grow larger than you thought or you might even find that once a relationship between two partners breaks up, the pet is sometimes left with nowhere to go.
It is really important to take some points into consideration:
Time and money is one factor to take into account. Puppies need to go for training, they need to be exercised and they require expensive treatment such as their vaccinations every year, they need to be de-flead, dewormed and remember that pet food is also expensive.
Did you know that fleas lead to your dog getting tape worm?
The novelty of a new dog or cat wears off as soon as the responsibility kicks in. Little children are not responsible to take care of pets on their own. Pets are generally time-consuming; therefore if you are strapped for time, then rather get a pet when you can spare time to take care of your animal properly. It is never a clever idea to get a pet when your children are little or if you are expecting a baby.
Always take into account how large the dog is going to grow and also how good the breed will be with children if you have little ones.
Most dogs enjoy having a companion, but consider this carefully before introducing a new pet into your home.
Strong dogs need training if you are going to consider getting a guard dog.
Find out more about how to take care of your pets by contacting us today.

South Africa is facing a war against Rhino. Currently we are losing an average of one Rhino every 21 hours! This species can not survive a such a kill rate. If nothing is done to stop the continuous slaughter we will lose our entire population of both black and white rhino

Yesterday, there were over 30 species of rhinoceros on Earth, today only 5 species remained. From 1970 to 2000, over 90% of the world population of rhinos dropped. The major cause of this massive extinction is poaching. We have to react in force to preserve our two precious species: the Black and White rhinos.

Analyses of horns were made by scientists and showed that they have no medicinal value. The horns are actually made of keratin, just like our hair or fingernails. however, rhinos victims of this myth almost disappeared. A large black market has been developped, knowing that 1 horn weigh around 10kg and that 1kg of horn is worth R140,000!
